Features
Analyze Airport Ground Vehicle Operations
Airside Vehicle features customizable vehicle performances (speeds, fuel consumption, emissions, service duration, etc.), and can be used to determine:
- Service equipment allocation to aircraft
- Optimal service road networks, including intersections with taxiways or taxi lanes
- Service road closure management
- Allocation of vehicle parking positions (temporary or long-term)
- Pick-up or drop-off locations for passengers, baggage, or catering
- Dynamic placement of refueling stations
Efficient Graphical Editing of Airport Models
Import and graphical editing tools allow for fast and precise modeling of airport ground layouts. The supported import of various file formats in addition to satellite imagery allows users to visualize airport layout designs as a background of the map view, facilitating rapid and efficient model creation and editing of typical elements such as service roads, parking areas, gas stations, passenger and baggage pick up or drop off locations, and more.
Vehicle Movement Modeling
The high-fidelity road traffic model implemented in AirTOP Airside Vehicle simulates vehicle movements on service roads. The driving behavior of every vehicles depends on its performance parameters, traffic rules, and interactions with aircraft moving on taxiways. This enables the user to evaluate congestion, assess the impact on flight delays, or measure operation efficiency.
Rule-based Vehicle Allocation
AirTOP Airside Vehicle allocates the right number of vehicles required to provide service to an aircraft according to rules defined by the user. Timing and frequency of service intervals can be configured. It is possible to create vehicle fleets for servicing specific aircraft groups to model, for instance, the association of ground handling service companies with specific airlines. If needed, it is also possible to statically define the service parameters for specific flights.
Heatmaps Highlighting Bottlenecks in Service Road Usage
AirTOP Airside Vehicle comes with the built-in capability to produce heatmaps for KPIs related to service journeys visualizing potential bottlenecks. The number of vehicle movements, occupation time, and incurred delays can be visualized separately for every taxiway segment or parts of the airfield. The heatmap is highly customizable and can be set to reflect running time-averages or the total over a full simulation day.
Comprehensive Ground Support Service Model
In AirTOP Airside Vehicle every phase of a vehicle on its journey through the airport is simulated. Pushback tugs connect to and disconnect from aircraft for pushback or towing. Busses drive to the gate for passengers to board and drive to the aircraft for passengers to disembark. In between refueling can take place at a gas station. Service durations depend on demand, such as the number of passengers, on specifications of the vehicle types, and on service rules.
Configurable Service Statistics
AirTOP Airside Vehicle provides statistics for the different service vehicle types to assess activity and efficiency. Pre-configured statistics include rolling-hour average service and journey duration and distance, connecting / detaching duration, service delay, service road closure duration, and more. In addition to the pre-configured statistics, the user can define customized statistics to be recorded.
Seamless Integration with Other AirTOP Modules
AirTOP is a modular platform, offering the flexibility to license more modules and extended functionality when required. AirTOP Aircraft Vehicle seamlessly integrates with Airside Aircraft to allow users to take flight schedule and aircraft movements into account. For coupling effects with airspace it also integrates with the TMA/TRACON and En Route modules.

Licensing Options
Transoft Solutions offers a range of licensing preferences for the majority of our software. These different options were developed to help small, sole proprietorships right on up to the largest multinational companies meet their transportation design and analysis needs in the most efficient manner possible. Transoft software uses our own proprietary licensing technology that allows for ease of deployment and flexibility to upgrade at anytime.
User Subscription license is a model where a set number of Subscribed Users can access the software through their unique logins and passwords for a predetermined length of time (e.g. 12 month terms). The software can be installed on multiple workstations.
Each Subscribed User represents one individual and their login and password, which cannot be shared with other users. Software activation is an easy process and can be done over the Internet.
Why Choose the User Subscription License Option
User Subscription license offers a cost-effective way for small businesses to start with one user and grow by adding additional users. For larger organizations, it will offer more flexibility in user administration and management via the My Transoft Portal. Furthermore, it can easily handle scalability and budgeting as per the business needs defined by the number of users.
User Subscription licenses provide the highest quality software for the best value.

Team Subscription License (TSL) is a new cloud license option that is intended to support casual or occasional users of the software. The size of a Team Subscription License is represented as a number of allocatable seats.
Why Choose the Team Subscription License Option
While User Subscription Licenses (USL) are better for dedicated users, Team Subscription Licenses can be a good complement to these if your organization has occasional, less heavy users of the software.
HOW IT WORKS
Each user of a Team Subscription license must have an account in the My Transoft Portal to request a license. Internet access is required for this process.
When an end user starts the software product on their workstation, the software will connect to the My Transoft Portal and will determine if any of the seats are available. If they are, a seat will be allocated and dedicated to that end user for a period of 24 hours, the end user will have unrestricted access to that seat for the duration of the 24-hour period. At the end of the 24-hour period the seat allocation will automatically expire and another user will be able to claim it.
Once all the Team Subscription License seats are allocated at a given time, no other end user will be able to use that license until the 24-hour period expires and one of the seats is automatically deallocated.
KEY BENEFITS OF TEAM SUBSCRIPTION LICENSE
- More flexibility for your team members
Allows access to software for casual users without having to spend on dedicated licenses for all users - Less administrative effort by IT

NETWORK LICENSE
A network license allows everyone within an office location to access the software from the company server with one person concurrently using at a time. Network licenses are not tied to a particular workstation or user. Multiple network license seats can be purchased and a license server keeps track of how many licenses are in use at one time. When a Transoft Solutions software on a network license starts, it first checks to see if a network license is available to use. If so, a license is then checked out from the pool of licenses. When a user exits the application, the license gets checked back into the pool making it available to other users.
Advantages of a Network License:
- Network licensing simplifies software asset management because the licenses are resident on license managers instead of on each of the workstations across the network. The license manager can be configured to log historical usage data.
- Licenses are available to all workstations connected to the company server network software asset utilization.
